13 Star Flag Help

Tried posting yesterday and it did not work. So will try again.

Since I am not sure how to post an image I have provided a link to where I stored pictures of a couple of flags we found in my in-laws attic.

The first flag could be from WWII. Not sure since it was in a box with the 13 star flag and some civil war era letters. In another box were some Silk Flags from Japan. (Those were easy)

Any ideas on the 13 star flag?
Any ideas on the other flag?
