    Default 38 star flag

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify a flag. We found this flag hidden in our basement. The flag has thirteen stripes and 38 stars. The stars are in a 7, 6, 6, 6, 6, 7 pattern. The flag is 12 feet long and measures 5 feet in width. It is stamped with the number 69. I have pictures, but I cannot get them to uplaod at this time. Thanks!

    Lauren,
Sorry no one answered your inquiry yet. Your 38 star flag was made before 1889. It is probably made of wool bunting with cotton stars inset into the canton.
