Default 39 Star Flag in a Cane
I have a 39 star flag silk (i think) that has 39 stars and when rolled up goes inside a cane. Does anyone have any information on this?

Hello vbell55 and welcome to the forum. 39 star flags were made in 1876 and in 1889. Please see the thread located at
U.S. Flag identification if known
which covers the 39 star flag. Your cane flag, if I had to guess, is probably from the 1876 era - a time of great national celebration.
