| I have seen several 48 star flags for sale on Ebay which have tan or beige stars but have WHITE stripes. Please xplain historic significance if any. Thank you.

| i would imagine it will be to do with the materials often the stars are made from different material than the rest of the flag- some times linen or cotton or other - and depending where the flag is stored or used might affect different materials differently i have a wonderful cotton flag whos white stripes and stars (the stars are printed) are a creamy color but i think this adds to the beauty of this flag!
