    Default 48 star Naval Jack

I have been trying to find any info on a US 48 star naval jack. It has ENS 6 on the white part. I am at work so I dont have any pictures, but I havent been able to find hardly any info at all on these. Are they rare? Valuable? Any Idea how to tell a ww1 from a ww2? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi callou2131,
48 star flags were flown from 1912 to 1959 so a great many flags were made during this period. I wouldn't say naval jacks are rare but not as common as the naval ensign. The marking on the hosit designates it as a size 6 which is 4.81 x 6.79 feet. Are these the only markings? When you get time please post your photos as they could aid in identifying the time period of your jack,
    Cheers,
    Mike

I have to get up in my attic and get it tomorrow. I dont remember any other markings unfortunately. I picked it up in a lot. It had the jack, and a 8x12 wool annin as well as a valley forge casket flag. I have found info on the others but havent seen any of the jacks, even on Ebay that surprised me. I will see if I can get it out and take some pictures tomorrow. Thank you!

FYI I've posted pics of my 45-star and 48-star US Navy Union Jacks on flickr:
