    hey all..

    this is a plea for some 4th Juy pics!!
    i live in england... and i know it is rather ironic for me to celebrate this holiday but hoping one day i can make that trip over the altlantic jus like my ancsters did lol

    anyway.... can i please have some 4th july pics?? flags fireworks you name it lemme see lemme see!!

    Here are the flags that we are flying today. Left to right: 50 star flag (as of today, the longest-lived US flag), 15 star/15 stripe flag, 13 star flag. On the carport staff in the background is the "Continental Colours" which was the flag on July 4, 1776.

    That particular 13-star flag is a replica of the "Fowle flag," which is thought to have been the first US flag to be saluted by a British ship (in Boston in 1781). You can buy one from the "The Flag Guys" in New Windsor, NY, The Flag Guys, American Flags, confederate flags, flagpoles, civil war flags. They sell reproductions of many unique historic American flags, and are interested in developing more. (Check out their beautiful Lewis & Clark era flag, with the eagle in the canton). Al Cavalari, the owner, is a member of NAVA and a first-class guy. Tell him I sent you!
