No, only the little ones sound like that. The big ones go swooosh, swoosh, swoosh (Nike's trademark notwithstanding.)

In high winds, a small printed flag will fluttttttttttttterrrrrrrrr quite rapidly. But Wild-Bill got it right - the stitching of the narrow nylon stripes does constrain the flag from "floating on the breeze."

That's why I want to get a US flag that's dyed instead of sewn stripes and embroidered stars, so it will fly better. Annin's Sunglo US flags are really nice. And when the flag is backlit by the sun, the stars will be bright intead of dark which is the case with embroidered stars.

    Hi, Wild Bill !

I really like the printed nylon Sun-Glo's too. I guess that's why I have so many of them (3'x5')!

It's too bad you're limited to flying only 2'x3' Flags on your pole.

I wonder if the Flag of Texas can be inverted in time of war like the flag of the Philippines?

    Nice photos, Wild Bill!

    Hi, Wild Bill !

Right you are! I stand corrected! I was thinking that you had only the smaller flagpole that was attached to a brick wall.

So..... What size of a "Sun-Glo" American Flag are you looking for, and what price range?

    Thanx!

I went to the local flag store after work today. He had a 3X5 Sunglo for about the same price I found online, so I got it. But thanks anyway Robin. And I also got a 3x5 nylon Grand Union. Later I'll put them on the pole and take some pics...and post them here, of course-I always do that don't I
