You are correct in that the American flag should be displayed to the right of other flags. However, the rights and lefts can get a bit confusing! Per the United States Code governing flag usage, the American flag should be displayed to its own right. This means as you are looking at the display, it appears to your left. Without seeing the picture myself, it is difficult to say if the flags are displayed correctly. However, as long as the American flag is displayed to its own right the Historical Society is following protocol. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
