America's Rock Legends
so their songs don't really fall under patriotism, but the 80's had some AMAZING rock stars that kept that decade fun and crazy, am i right? One of the best i would have to say is ZZ Top. Their hits were unbelieveable during the time and I think classic rock songs from then is something we all need a dose of from tiem to time now with what's going on. lol I'm telling you guys this cause I just found out they've got a new dvd out and i think that's amazing that legends from 2 decades ago are making a comeback.
Check it out ZZ TOP: Widget
the footage is amazing!

Re: America's Rock Legends
A comment from Forum Admin,
As Marty said, this post doesn't have much to do with patriotism or flags, which are the subjects of the forum. However, rock music is an important part of American culture, and one could argue that it's a component of our national identity, which is what patriotism is really all about.
We won't close the thread at this point, but we ask everyone to keep their comments related to the subject of the forum. If you want to talk about rock music as such, there are lots of other places on the Internet for that.

Re: America's Rock Legends
there is a couple of good rock versions of patriotic songs- such as the Star Spangled Banner - Iced Earth did a good one , and so did Boston... - i don't like Jimmy Hendrix version AT ALL! - he screwed around with it too much and turned it into a way of showing off his amazing guitar skills - rather than to play the melody as it should be!
