    Default Another Flag Added

I just added another flag to my collection. I found a new 3'x5' Perma-Nyl Valley Forge American Flag on E-Bay. The good part was the price, ($16.59, included shipping in that price!!!). This is a new item also. I love my flags and fly them every day that the weather premits.

Hope I don't bore anyone with my flag purchases. I am 62, and an AMERICAN to the core!!!

    Fly em' High!!!

Received my Valley Forge flag this morning. My collection is finished for a while. I will read the forum, but won't post anymore. No one seems to care.

    Having a bad day,

    Dear greengo,
Sorry you feel slighted, but this is an educational forum where questions are posted and scholarly discussions are held. If you add a particularly interesting flag to your collection, like the one below from my collection, we would all like to see it and learn of its history.

It doesn't have to be old, either. There are many interesting flags out there waiting to be discovered.
    Regards,
    Nick

I am very glad to hear you got your flag
Would have been good to have added pictures. I am not that bothered whether the flag holds 'special significance' in a historical sense. It is that it means something to you, that is pleasing and good to hear about.

What are you going to do with the flag? Do you fly it, or display it in your home?

Thank You, I will be rotating it with my other flags that I fly on my new flagpole. For a Valley Forge flag, it was a buy.

I do have a few older flags, a 48 and a 49 star cloth flag. At the present time I have no idea where I have them buried in my house.

These new flags, and my new flagpole are a big part of my life at present. I am retred and I am partially disabled.

Thanks for the reply. Fly your flag high!!!

Hey Robin, I would really like to find a "good" 35 star flag, (3'x5', or there abouts), in the "star" pattern. As you can tell I am from WV. I have seen several for sale, but the price at present is out of my range. It would be neat to find a "real" one!!!

    Later all, Fly em' high!!!

How about this 35-star flag? Not for sale, unfortunately, and it is only printed, but it is from the 1863-1865 era.

Now that is a neat flag!!! That would be something to have. The cheapest 35 star, "star pattern" flag I can find cost $39. That was on e-bay. They have some cheaper ones, but the pattern is differant. I will find one someday.

Thanks for the picture. I had one almost that bad that got caught in a bad storm back in 1994. needless to say I retired it.

I added another one today. Can never have enough USA flags to fly. I change them about every 3 or 4 days. I added an Annin 3'x5' nylon today. I haven't bought an Annin flag in about 4 years. I will say one thing, those shinny embroidered stars really pop!!! My Valley Forge 3'x5' flags has plain white thread. The main thing is, both brands are FEMA flags.

    Fly em' high!!!
