| I'm looking for confirmation on etiquette regarding using an american flag in a display, such as a trophy display. Must items such as trophys be kept from sitting upon a part of the flag, and would the same hold true for state flags. jr

| The US flag must not be used as a tablecloth or any such covering for a display or shelf. The flag must hang freely. State flag laws vary.
