Default Does this flag have any value ?

Trying to find out if this flag has any value. My Dad who passed away 7 years ago was a small time collector of Civil War pre and post era and collected a few flags. This is one of them. It is mounted in a frame and appears to be hand held. The label that is attached to the frame states that it is a 39 star centennial flag 1876. The flag is mounted on a wood stick.
    thanks
P.S. I have several other flags a few large and a couple small mounted in a frame that I will ask about later. Once again thank you for any info or advise as to value if any.

    Hello Jaytone:

    1) I count 38 stars.
    2) The eBay results will probably be a pretty good estimate of value.
Original Rare 39 Star American Flag Centennial 1876 - eBay (item 290574904940 end time Jun-13-11 07:31:57 PDT)
But don't expect to see the final bids until about 6 seconds before the end of the auction. All good flags on eBay are sniped.

    Congratulations Jaytone!

$1136 is WAY more than I would have guessed this flag would sell for. 38 star flags are very common, but the more unusual patterns are beginning to get more interest and higer bids. You did well.
