    Default Eagle Finial no longer allowed?

    Good afternoon! Has anyone heard of any orders/laws passed recently that states that the Eagle Finial is no longer authorized ontop of the American flag? I have heard a few rumors/rumblings but no one can point out any specific details....

    Wasn't sure if ya'll heard anything?

    I expect that would be a DOD or other military reg. There would be no such requirements one way or the other for civilian use. I can say, however, that an eagle is definately not a good idea for an outdoor flagpole as the wingtips can tear a flag to shreds.
