First U.S. Flag of Corregidor
This was the first American Flag hoisted over Corregidor Island, Philippines flying from December 2, 1898 to May 14, 1899. It was donated to the Corregidor Museum by George E. Bietsch, Quartermaster Sergeant of the 10th Pennsylvania Infantry, U.S. Volunteers which served in the Philippines from July 17, 1898 to June 30, 1899. You can see the riveted lead rings typical of Philadelphia Quartermasters Depot.

Re: First U.S. Flag of Corregidor
Also note stenciled on the canvas header: U.S.Q.M.D., most likely United States Quartermaster Department.
