Flag Manufacturers' Labels & Marks ???
.
Greetings!
I've been wondering if there is a "resource" somewhere that has a historical record of Flag Manufacturers' Labels & Marks and the changes that have been made to them over the years, decades, centuries, etc.
I assume that somebody, somewhere, has made one. The main reason would be to identify who made a Flag and when it was made. Heck, maybe there are references what the Flag is, or to company's different manufacturing sites?
The reason why I ask is because some of the flags I own have different identifying labels, stamps, or marks on them. there are sewn-on labels, glued labels, simple black laundry marker stencils or stamps, two-colored stamps, etc. I thought that maybe if there was a record somewhere of when a company changed its identifying marks or labels, it would be easier to figure out how old a flag might be.
Just Wondering . . . . .
