Default Flag @ my Post Office

I have traveled in many states and have never come upon a Post Office that did not have a flag flying outside. I now live in a town that does not have a flag outside. I have contacted the Posal officials several time but continue to get the run around. Their claim is that they do not own the building and it is not their responsibility.I am getting frustrated and do not know have to solve this problem. They did respond to me and said they placed a flag inside in the lobby. When I went to view the flag ,it was no where in sight at first, then I found it in the corner ,far out of sight when first entering the lobby.

    Anyone have any suggestions??

I suggest you contact the building owner and ask them if they would see fit to provide a flagpole so their tenant can comply with USPS regulations and fly the flag.

    Hello, Dave!

Welcome to the USA-Flag-Site Forums !!!

BTW: Do you happen to live in Marlboro, New York?

In cases like these when trying to come to a "solution" to the problem at hand, I usually advocate starting "small" (ie. relatively simple and localized). If a solution is not found then to escalate up to the next "solution seeking" level.

Believe it or not, we had a similar "post office" problem about six months ago.

While we may never know if SpellGirl1027 was able to get that particular problem addressed or solved, at least at the beginning she was doing what she could to "fix" it.

Can you think of any additional steps that you might be able to take to help "solve" this problem? Are there any other people or community service organizations in your community that you could ask for help?

    If so, who are they?
