| Is it appropriate for the American flag (on pole) to be mounted to a tree in the front yard of the home?

| Hi, Deb! Is it appropriate for the American flag (on pole) to be mounted to a tree in the front yard of the home? I can't see why not, as long as the flag can fly freely and not get tangled in the tree branches. This is also a consideration when installing permanent flagpoles -- I've seen some that are right beside trees, and that doesn't work very well. Welcome to the forum! Peter Ansoff

| i saw many flagpoles nailed to trees when i was in USA... but i saw no problem with them except for the couple of flags that had tangled themselves in the tree branches. as long as that cant happen i see no proble with attaching the flagpole to it
