| Rick, You might remember from your uniform that the flag patch on the right shoulder is "backwards," that is, flying with the blue union on the front part of the shoulder and the stripes waving behind. It's meant to look like the soldiers are carrying a flag, rushing into battle. The flag then would be flying back as the soldiers rushed forward, thus the stars are in front. The same logic could be applied to your rig, though most people I have seen with multiple flags on their vehicles have them all facing the "normal" way. That's probably because there aren't a lot of people who sell decals with the flag waving this way. But if you can find one, by all means fly it proudly. Sarah

| My understanding of the waving flag decals/magnets were they were not flags, but artwork/decoration (a picture of the flag). A flag would be a flat, rectangular sticker with 4 flat sides. ... so it would be the waving flag sticker that isn't "required" to fly union first. But, that brings into question another point. I have a flag sticker displayed on the center section of glass on my pick-up truck. My understanding was it was "required" to be on that section alone. If it were a waving flag, it could have other stickers on the same panel. I had a copy of my fathers guidelines, used as Sgt of Arms at his VFW (USMC 67-71), but I can not find them right now.
