Flagmakers in United Kingdom
I wanted to get some advice on purchasing a US flag from the UK and wanted an opinion as to the best flagmakers in that country. I have done some internet research and have a list of possibilities but if any one out there has any preference or experience I want to hear about it. Thanks!

Re: Flagmakers in United Kingdom
Hi there
I have a large collection of US flags, and I am from England. I don't currently collect flags, because I have so many already.. I moved to collecting the Statue of Liberty.
I do have 1 US flag that is made in the UK, and it is a very nice flag, well made
It is a printed flag, printed on cotton.
The left hand side has a strip going up, that is well attached, and is capable of having a pole inserted (a sleeve) and it also comes with the standard UK rope and toggle attachments to attach to a halyard.
The other feature to this flag is at the other end of it, at the fly end, there is a netting stitched all the way down, to help defend the flag against fraying ends
Ill get a pic of it in a little while.. my other half is just on the phone at the moment!
The flag is made by David Martin Stenhouse Ltd

Hi UK!,
The address you gave, was it England or Scotland? Great pic of your flag! Now I see what they mean by adding anti-fraying strip to the end. Thanks so much!

Re: Flagmakers in United Kingdom
May I ask how much you paid? I hope you are kidding about giving up flag collecting. Thanks again!

Re: Flagmakers in United Kingdom
But I have so MANY flags lol
I haven't entirely given up collecting, I will take them if they are given to me, or if I find a really special one, I will consider it.
The flag collection goes really nice with the Statue of Liberty collection. Honest;y I find her more interesting to collect cos there are so many different ones
She is often seen together with the flag
I have a 5ft 6 Liberty replica that has her robes painted like the flag, and I have smaller ones also inspired by the flag too, so in that way, I am keeping it going
How much I paid for the flag? I got it on eBay, and in all honesty, Ive forgotten how much it was.
Ill take some pics of my room/ collection later today
