i just got the latest edition of Flagmaster today

i know you will be reading this post Peter!

i should say i saw a picture in the mag of 3 farmilier flagpoles

so farmilier an recognisable they were that i recognised them before i read the caption underneath!

1st time i've seen the Union Jack fly on any of them though!

the 3 flagpoles are Peter's own at his house! and they are in the mag in england !!!
right at the bottom it does say 'picture courtosy of Peter Ansoff'!

oh something else in flagmaster aswell - the flags in the news section notes a HALF WOODEN FLAG Lol!
this flag has already been on this site and was that US flag at Hilary Clintons campaign thing with the upside down stars that nobody there obviously saw!
frankly i think theyre all blind cos its VERY obvious to me!

Attached is the picture that Amanda is referring to. The flag on the left is the British white ensign, which is flown on the stern of Royal Navy warships. The right is the Union flag, which is flown as the jack on the bows of RN ships.

The middle pole has two signal flags. This is a re-creation of Lord Nelson's "Engage the Enemy More Closely" signal, which he flew aboard HMS Victory as she sailed into battle at Trafalgar in 1805. The flags are the numerals 1 and 6 in the code of signals created by Admiral Popham, which was one of the earliest standardized signaling systems in history. The Popham "1" was the same as "X" in the modern International Code of Signals. There is no flag in the ICS that looks like the Popham "6"; my wife made that one specially for me.
