I work for a locol government and made the mistake of telling a coworker I was afended that they were flying a Mexican flag from their personel truck. In the parking lot. I told the person that the American flag should also be flying. Not to do so. is showing disrespect for our country, as well as an insult to the United States. As it would be in any other country. You would do this in. It is my undestanding this is International flag protocal. I have now been charged by this person with racal harasment. Were can I find this in officle writting. As you might expect I live in California

as i understand i dont think there is a LAW to say u cannot fly the flag of another country without also flying the host country flag.

however it is quite natural to be offended by that person who is living in the USA to be flying their mother country flag without having any thought for the country to which they have emigrated to for flying their own flag in the manner which they did

i was guilty of nearly the same sin as the mexican though but in my own home where the first flag i bought was an American flag. in fact i had quite a few american flags before i decided it was time to buy a Union flag!
and then i didnt have the union flag displayed on the walls of my room like i did the American flags i had.

nowadays i have 36 americans flags - and just got high bid on a 37th flag on ebay with 48 stars. all thse flags are displayed around my room and i have my union jack up on the ceiling - there are no flag protocol of britain that says i shouldent put my flag on the ceiling!
