Sorry, it is not a 43, it is a 45 star. Flag is very old, has some minor repairs, is linen, and is 6' by 91/2'. Tx again for the help.

    Hi DoubleA,
Ahhh, too bad! Well, a 45 star is still a collectable but not like a 43 star Judging from the size you gave me it might be a government issue flag but they were made out of wool bunting not linen cotton. In any case there is a big misconception in flag collecting that bigger is better, not so, as collectors usually like flags that are small and easily displayable. Concerning your flag I have seen 45 star flags of that size run from $75 to $200. Of course there may be other attributes that your flag has that could enhance it's worth. That is the reason for so many questions. If you want to send us a photo we can look for those clues. Does anyone else want to jump in here? Your flag is still a wonderful treasure, thanks for sharing!
    Cheers!

No problem. While you are at it check the hoist for any markings or stamps of flag companies, etc.
    Cheers!
