All,
Check out this ad for "Washington Crisps" Corn Flakes, from the 22 Feb 1912 Richmond Times-Dispatch:
BLOG, or DIE. A historian's journey through the Revolution
BTW, this link came from this blog, which deals with the Revolutionary War period in Boston and sundry related topics:
Boston 1775
J.L. Bell, who owns that blog, is a fine amateur historian ("amateur" in the original sense of the word -- he does great work because he enjoys it, rather than because he's paid to do it). If you are at all interested in the origins of the Revolution and related subjects, this blog is (IMHO) required reading. (Full disclosure: J.L. has said some nice things about some of my flag-history articles in his earliler posts!)
