Half Mast on 10/4/09

I just got an e-mail from the American Flagpole & Flag Co. They send out reminders about flying your flag at half staff. The President proclaimed that 10/4/09 is a day to honor our Firefighters and Volunteers.

This is also the start of Fire Prevention Week.

Be sure to lower your flag to half staff on Sunday and honor our Fireman!!!

Well, I will reply to my own message. On the 4th of Oct. I was the only one in our town to have a flag at half staff. I even drove over by the local State Police, their flags were at full staff. Our local Fire Dept. had no idea what I was talking about.

Oh Well, I was correct. That makes me feel better.
