Hanging Flags From Utility Poles
I have a friend that got some of his neighbors together and hung about 30 flags on utility poles on Reservoir street in North Attleboro mass and after the fact was told by the local electric company that they had to remove the flags and the neighbors where surprised that they had to remove them and they ended up being removed by the electric company so my question id there any group or community that can work on getting these flags bak up on the poles it was a great sight to see when driving down his street. Being a veteran my self it made me proud to be American and that many others feel so proud of our country they took the time and money to let every one know. http://www.thesunchronicle.com/articles/2010/08/14/north_attleboro/7777839.txt
Thanks for any input.

Hello,
I am all for public display of the US Flag, but your friend and his neighbors were trespassing by putting those flags on Utility Company property. What's more, it could have been dangerous if any contact was inadvertenly made with the overhead wires. That being said, I believe the Utility Company should work with the citizens to find a safe means of affixing flags to their poles in locations where there is truly no hazard to the public nor utility company workers.
