Default Healthy & easy 4th of July dessert

I jokingly call this a thowitzer (like a trifle but much bigger).

It's a red, white and blue dessert, and healthy to boot. Takes about 5-10 minutes to prepare, unless you make the angel-food cake yourself (which I don't, as everything I bake turns into Dwarf Bread).

You will need:
1 large salad bowl, preferably glass or clear plastic.
1 Angel Food Cake
at least 24 ounces of combined fresh and frozen berries. It's normally done with strawberries, for this I use blueberries too.
2-3 containers of Cool Whip (which is healthier than whipped cream). I use half lite and half regular.

Tear up the angel food cake, and make a layer of cake on the bottom. Add a layer of each type of fruit*

Cover with Cool Whip.

Add another layer of angel food cake, another layer of fruit, another layer of Cool Whip.

Etc. End on Cool Whip. You can garnish with a bit of fresh fruit if you can get good berries.

It's supposed to be three iterations but I could never fit more than two. YMMV.

*for style points, put the blueberry down first, so it looks like truncated bunting. For extra extra style points, you could dye the bottom of the cake red, or put some juice from the strawberries down and make the cake layer extra thick so there's a red stripe at the bottom. I haven't tried the latter but may tomorrow.

" not as healthy as yours... lol"
OTOH, you can bake so it balances out.

Default Stupid Question

Hey everyone... how do I search for more than one word in other posts, so that it returns only posts with those two words?
