Just found this forum today - somewhat appropriate for July 4th!

Someone on another forum I frequent mentioned today (7/4/10) is the 50th anniversary of the 50-star flag, and in wanting a little more information, Google led me here. I don't know that I'm as much of a "flag geek" as some here (and I use that term with respect...) but I've always been proud of the Stars and Stripes. And as an old Boy Scout, and Air Force vet, I've always had something of an interest in the history and usage of the flag. Looking forward to checking the forums - a quick pass through shows lots of great information and some lively discussions!
