    Default Hello from Las Vegas

    Hello all,

I have a few questions, just general actually. I happened upon a 48-star Am. flag in a thrift store some months ago. It appears to be made of linen/cotton as the material is not tightly woven. The manufacture's stamp (Valley Forge Flag Co.) is stamped by the upper brass grommet along with the size 3.52ft x 6.69ft. I've done a little research and have found that the 48-star flag was manufactured between 1912 and 1959, but the VFFC states that it didn't start manufacturing flags until about the 1930's, so that possibly narrows the time frame to about a 30yr period. Does anyone else have any more info for this particular size of flag? Or even correction of my info?
    Thanks
