Default Help Identifying this US Flag please

I bought a bunch of miniature historic US flags. I was able to identify everyone but one. It has 16 red & white stripes starting with white on top. In the upper left corner is an image of who I believe is George Washington in a red jacket holding a sword. 13 gold stars & american flags/banners above him. Any help in identifying this flag would be appreciated.

That flag is from the collection of 48 historic reproductions made by theGolden State Specialty Co of Hollywood, California, for the Bicentennial. Theywere sold at supermarkets around the country. I bought my first set at a WinnDixie in Atlanta when I was living there in 1976. The company also produced 3x5foot versions of those flags, and a 48-hole plastic stand for the collection of4x6 inch flags, like yours. Many of the flags were copied (probably without permission) from The Stars and The Stripes, the 1972 book that documented thecollection of Marie and Boleslaw Mastai. The flag you illustrate was identifiedby the Mastais on Page 26/27 of their book thus: " In the decades beforethe Civil War, the American Stripes became particularly associated with thereactionary current that gave rise to nativist movements such as the KnowNothings, a secret society, later a political party, active from 1844-1860. TheKnow nothings, so called because of their unvarying answer to all inquiries, professed a veriable cult for George Washington... Their adulation is evidentin a flag which displays a field of seventeen stripes and a portrait ofWashington in place of the union of stars; the oval medallion was taken from acontemporary American textile."

Interesting that the Golden State co. would choose that flag for it's bicentennial collection.
