    Default Hi everyone.

My name is Ron. I was simply surfing around looking for a few anwsers about our wonderful flag, i.e. our nation. Understanding either one will help enlighten us on both, in my humble opinion. I am now currently flying my flag upside down as I feel our nation is under attack by our elected leadership. Some of my neighbors are not very receptive to my opinion. I feel sorry for them. If you feel the same, please let me know. If you don't, you may say so, but, I will not respond to what I may percieve as unamerican. God Bless the U.S.A.

    Dear Ron,
While flags and politics are inextricably linked, this forum is focused on the use, design, and history of the flag of the United States as well as patriotism and the proper use of the flag in ceremony and everyday life. It is not a forum to discuss anyone's political leanings.

That being said, I find it interesting that you will not respond to comments that you see as "unamerican." Many forum members would see flying the flag of the US upside-down as un-American.

The United States is not "in distress." It is not "under attack" by its elected leadership. It is being run by a duly elected government that happens to have views that you do not share. Indeed, it was elected by the majority of Americans that do not share your views. That is exactly how the system works - it is not broken - it does not need to be fixed. This time the Democrats won and the Republicans lost. You are welcome to state your views and protest and vote against the incumbents at the next election.

YOU may be in distress, but unless your ship is sinking, I suggest you right your flag and fly it as a proud American working within the system.

    Nick
