Default Hotel chain displaying tattered American flag

I recently noticed a well known hotel chain displaying a tattered American flag on my way to work each day. It does not look like it is taken down daily. What is the best procedure for letting this hotel chain be aware of the proper way to display the flag? Thank you for any advice.

    Hello, DWP9992 !

Welcome to the USA-Flag-Site Forums !

For what it's worth (FWIW), I find that in situations like this, a friendly, straight-forward approach works the best. You'll want to talk to the hotel's General Manager (GM) or whoever "runs" the place.

Their business relies on their "public image" and the "good will" of their customers and their "potential" customers. A quick & gentle "just the facts" presentation with the added reminder of how much better the hotel property will look with a new red, white, & blue star-spangled banner flying from their flagpole out front should do the trick. ESPECIALLY with the 4th of July just around the corner.

Once you can get an "agreement" out of them that they'll do something about replacing the Flag (within a certain time-frame), remind them that you drive by there every day and that you're looking forward to seeing the new Flag. When (if) they replace the Flag, make sure you stop in and THANK them, preferably the same person (GM) you talked to before.

IF they DON'T replace the Flag, then it will be time to take it to the next level.

If they are anywhere near to being as sensitive to public opinion as they SHOULD be, the Flag should be replaced in short order!

    I hope that helps !
