| I am new to this site and I have a question. I have a 13 star flag that was handed down to me from my grandmother. I have heard the story behind it, but no way to prove it's age or value. I am wondering how I would do this? I have been told there is a number on the back of the flag, but it has been in a glass case for several years and I am worried if I take it out of the case it will harm the material. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

| Hello, Thank you for your email. Forum members have expertise in antique flags and can help. Please reply with a description of the details of the flag as you can see it in its case. Approximate size? Materials? Hand Sewn? How are the stars affixed? Condition? A photo would be of tremendous help. Nick
