| Hi! I'm new here. My name is Shauna. My oldest son is a senior in high school and has already signed with the US Army. We will be doing his senior pictures soon and I want to photograph him with some Army things and the US Flag. Does anyone know if there are any rules or laws regarding this and if so, where I can find them. I want the pictures to honor the Flag, the Army and my son so I don't want to break any rules! Thanks Shauna

| There are no regulations against photographing the USA flag, as long as the flag itself is displayed properly (that is, do not display the flag upside-down in the background.) A common way of including the flag in a photo is to have the person stand in front of an indoor (fringed) flag that is mounted on a wood pole standing on a base. The flag should be behind and just to the left of the person so you can see the stars over the person's shoulder.
