I believe that it came online at the beginning of June, 2006 -- that's when the first of the original administrators came aboard, and the oldest posts date to the first week in June. (None of the original admins are still active.)

When I became a member there was no admin as such - there was a moderator though - Sarahw was around, but she stopped posting not too long after I joined in November 2006.

As far as I am aware, I am the longest standing member here at the site now- that still posts on a regular basis

Well, its part of the usa flag site, a website that is dedicated to the US flag, telling visitors about flag etiquette, and history, and general patriotic interest. The forum is a part of the website - and I can assume it was set up for people to discuss the flag, and ask questions about it, to people that have the knowledge to answer them
As I know it, this is the only such forum for the US flag on the net.

I always fly the American Flag and also the POW-MIA Flag on the rear of my H-D motorcycle. I have always flown the American Flag on the left and the POW-MIA Flag on the right. This way the people traveling behind me always see the American Flag on the left as they should when the flag is coming toward them or when they are facing a stage. Is this proper? I have seen it both ways and would truly like to be correct.

Greetings, Patriot. Welcome to the USA-Flag-Site Forums!

Your question is a good one. Unfortunately, right now it is in a totally unrelated thread AND in the "wrong" Forum (Suggestions & Comments).

Perhaps if you were to start a new thread in the "U.S. Flag Display" Forum it will stand out much more and be much more likely to be addressed?

    Give it a try !!!
