I'm new. first time with a question bothering me. Which should come first... the Invocation or presenting the American flag?

In my opinion (and when it comes to matters of religion on this flag forum, everything is an individual's opinion except that a Church Pennant may fly above the national ensign when services are being held on board a US Navy vessel) the invocation is the most important preliminary to the event itself. IF the central theme of the ceremony is to present a flag to a group, then the flag presentation comes after the invocation. On the other hand, if by "flag presentation" you just mean trooping the colors into the auditorium before the "action" begins, then the invocation comes after the flags are brought in and the invocation is to ask God's favor on the proceedings that follow.
