Default Is a 36 star flag collectible?

About 15 years ago I purchased an american flag at an auction sale on the north shore of Lake Erie (Ontario, Canada) and had it framed.

The size is approximately 26" x 17" and it has a wooden stick attached. The stick has been shortened and is now only about 1-2" longer than the flag. It is mounted on a black velvet material in a dark wooden frame and covered with glass. The flat is printed on a light fabric which is rough and see-through. It looks like it was an inexpensive flag that might have been made for parades, etc.

The stars are arranged in a 6 x 6 pattern.

Can someone tell me about the history, collectibility and value of this flag. I've had it in the house for a long while and would like to sell it.

    Hi Bob,
From your description it sounds like a hand held parade flag which some flag collectors really like because of their size. Usually when they are that small they are printed. The condition and appearance of the flag is a big part of it's value. Is it possible for you to post a photo of the flag? By seeing the flag it will help us give you an idea of it's worth.
    Kindest regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. It is a printed flag. I'm including a couple of photos (if I've done this correctly).

1864-67, Nevada statehood, about $400 is its likely value at auction. It would be better if the flag had some more unusual visual features, but it is a nice example.
