| I work for a large manufacturer (foreign) who wants to start displaying the company flag at half mast to honor coworkers who have passed away. This would take place on the day of the funeral. With several thousand employees, this may occur around 5 times a year. The company has stated that because no other flag can be at half mast with the United States flag due to the law, the company will remove the United States flag completely on those days. That does not sit well with me and I plan on doing something about it! Is it against the law to remove the United States flag in such manner? Also, in time of war, as now, is it against the law to remove the United States flag period? Thanks!

| Their interpretation is incorrect. You may fly the USA flag at full staff and fly any other flags in that display at half staff.
