| About five years ago I started going to Military funerals in my area to support those who gave their lives for our freedom. I always stand on the side of the road that leads to the cemetary holding my fathers folded flag that was given to our family at his funeral twenty three years ago. (He retired from the USAF forty five years ago a Major). Last week as I was waiting for the funeral procession to pass by I started thinking: Is it appropriate to carry my fathers folded flag in support of those who gave their live for their country?

| I don't know that there is anything in flag etiquette that says you shouldn't do that, Falcon70. And since you are doing it out of respect for the fallen service member, I don't see a problem with it. As an Air Force vet myself, let me thank you for supporting those lost in service of our country.
