his head, was this not a desecration of the American flag? Many,
including myself believe it was, however one point needs clarification.
Perhaps you can help. What is the size requirement (if any) that makes a
hemmed piece of fabric a "flag"? I understand that a true "flag" is
required to be at least 3'x5' and anything less than that is a replica.
Is this the case? It seems trivial, and perhaps it is, but it does make
a difference and I would appreciate knowing so I and others might be
able to be understanding of others rights and protective of our nation's
    symbols.

    Respectfully,
    Greg

Default A flag is a flag

Personal flags can be any size official flags have specific measurements according to executive order10834. Depending on how high you fly the flag determines the size it should be.

Yes kid rock wearing the flag was wrong according to section 8d that specifically states that it should not be worn. In the same token President Bush signed a very small flag inches in size and got ridiculed for that because the law states "The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature." ...including that of the president
