Default Multiple American flags shown, which do you acknowledge

We have 2 flags in a school room in which we hold meetings. When we say the pledge, which flag should people face?

The first is a smaller flag mounted to the wall and the other is a large flag standing on the floor, next to our state flag. People are all facing the small flag on the wall, while I face the larger flag on the floor stand.

Which flag should we face? Both are in the front of the room, the flag stand is off to the right side of the room while the smaller wall mount is by the door entrance.

If there is etiquette for this circumstance, please let me know and where an official policy is located. I looked and did not see this issue addressed anywhere.

    Thank you,
    kielpatriot

kielpatriot: While I am unable to see the layout of the room and also don't know the reason for the two flags. My first thought is to say you could salute either one. One thing you said that got my attention is that the flag in the stand is to the right of the room. First, do you mean the right as you look at it or the right as you are standing next to it? The flag should always be placed at "its own right". Thus, the flag in the stand should be to the left of the room, your left, as you look at it from the audience. The one on the wall my represent a gift from someone and perhaps was the only place it could be put. The US Flag Code will help you on the placement of flags. Where the union should be if hanging horizontally or vertically as well as placement of flag stands in a room. If you are in Scouting, your local Scout shop also has a reference on Flag etiquette and you can purchase a pamphlet from the Gov't Printing Office called Our or YOur Flag done by the Congress which is essentially the US Flag Code which you can get on line.
    Hope this helps. Mike

Would it be possible to relocate one of the flags to a room that does not have one already?

I wouldn't have thought it would be any difference which flag you face if they are both US flags. One being bigger than the other doesnt make it any more important. If everybody else is looking towards the smaller flag then if it was me, I would just do the same as them
