That's a great picture of an old US Customs flag. Again, note the arc of stars above the eagle. The modern version has the stars grouped in a "cloud" above the eagle.

The article on the "civilian flag" is complete nonsense, of course. Many other countries do have separate civilian and military flags, but the USA does not.

Beautiful collection! I always thought my collection was good but it's puny compared to yours.

thats a recent (december.. obviously) picture of my living room, with appropriatly themed tree!




theres me last august in what is common dress for me.. eyeing up british red ensign with an RNLI (royal national lifeboat institution) flag sewn into it - (known as the RNLI ensign) the RNLI flag is a design so obviously based on the England flag- St george cross.

That would have made a good addition to my collection if only it didnt belong to somebody else
