Default New Flagpole

I am in the process of replacing my old flagpole, (1976). It was a 16' steel pole. Needless to say after many bouts o all kinds of weather it has finally given up the ghost. I am replacing it with a Sunsetter 20' telescoping flagpole. I am still waiting for it to arrive. I received a new West Virginia flag on Monday. I fly the American flag and the State flag on the same pole. I have also ordered the eagle finial made for this pole.

I would like to know if anyone else has used the Sunnsetter, or TopFlight flagole? What are the do's and don'ts? I live in and area of West Virginia where I only get about 5 to 10mph winds most of the time.

Your comments please. I would take pictures when I get it up, but my camera is on the fritz!

Later all. Remember, "Our Colors Never Run"

Howdy, Greengo !

Welcome to the USA-Flag-Site Forums !

I'd love to help you out but I have ZERO experience with SunSetter, or any other brand of "Telescoping Flagpoles" of any size.

Sorry !

Hello again, Greengo !

One of our members, "Uncle Flag" (Eddie Hill), owns a Flag Store that sells "telescoping flagpoles". I figure that since his store carries telescoping flagpoles, he probably has some experience with them. I just sent him a "private message" telling him that you are in need of some advice.

I don't know if he'll respond, and if he does, I don't know if he'll be able to do so "in time" to help you. You see, right before Independence Day is his "busy" season.

My fingers are crossed !

Thank you much!!! If I don't receive any answers, I will fly solo and do my best.

In 62 years I have figured out a lot of things.

I think this a wonderful site.

Fly your flag with pride!!!

Greengo

Hi, Greengo !

I always fly MORE than one flag!

Actually, "Uncle Flag" (Eddie Hill) has a website: UncleFlag.com. I don't know if that would help you any or not. I just thought I'd let you know!

Right now I'm watching one of Uncle Flag's videos on YouTube!

Anyway, Good Luck with it !!!

Hey, Greengo !!!

I just did a search on YouTube.com for "telescoping flagpole". They have what appears to be at least FOUR (4) video "tutorials" on telescoping flagpoles, !!!

Two of them are by Carrot Top Industries", which is a company that sells them !!!

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%22telescoping+flagpole%22&se arch_type=&aq=f

Happy Viewing !!!
