    Default Parade Ediquette

I have been a part of a color guard for over Twenty years. And I served in the Army for Twentyfour years. But I have always had one question on my mind that has never been answered. When Marching in a parade is it proper to law enforcement going before the national colors and if so how far ahead of them should they be? Or is it the way I have always felt that nothing should ever go in front of the national colors? I would love to finaly get the right answer to this question so I don't have to argue with people about it any more. Please help me out with this.

This is my first time on this site and hope to be here for a long time to learn all that I can about that proper workings for our Great Flag.

    Thank You

    Default Re: Parade Ediquette

I always considered the police cars that usually lead a parade to not really be part of the parade. More of a safety precaution to make sure the roadway is clear.
