    Default practice flag for cub-scouts?

I have a den of 7 year old cub scouts. They often practice folding the flag, performing flag ceremonies and marching with flags. Is it acceptable to keep on hand an old flag, which would normally be retired, in order to allow the boys to practice without worry of letting it touch the ground?

    Hello, Tony,

Sure, there's no problem with that. However, there is really nothing terrible about the flag touching the ground either -- one should try to avoid it, but it's not the end of the world if it happens!
