| We are preparing a Memorial Day Service for our Military for an early morning church service. Not being a military service member, I want to be clear on the ways it (the Flag) should be displayed. The plan is to unfurl a flag that will be presented to the church itself, behind our service members. 1.) Is this acceptable? 2.)If so, in which order should this take place? 3.) Which direction should the Flag be displayed? 4.) How would you suggest presentation to the church? There are members of military which serve in various positions within the church. Thank you so much for your time and input. usdi Woya

| Hello, Usdi - welcome to the forum! The plan is to unfurl a flag that will be presented to the church itself, behind our service members I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this, especially the part about "behind our service members." Normally, the flag is displayed in front of the assembly. There's a military protocol for "posting the colors" which basically means that the flag-bearer enters at the rear of the rear of the meeting room, carries it up to the front, and "posts" it, by putting it on a stand. The process is then reversed at the end of the service or meeting. Is this what you have in mind? Peter Ansoff
