Question regarding different size flags in parade

Greetings,

My name is Bill and this is my first post on these forums.

I am a member of the 5th Massachusetts Battery, a Civil War artillery reenacting unit based out of eastern Massachusetts.

This Memorial day we are marching in a parade and a question has come up regarding our flags. Our national flag is a swallow tail Cavalry guidon which was the historically correct national flag carried by the 5th Mass during the Civil War. Our unit flag is a slightly larger swallow tail red and white guidon with the name of our unit and hand painted crossed cannons. This too was the historically correct flag that the state issued our unit during the war.

The national flag is slightly (about 10-15%) smaller than the state flag.

My question: Is it acceptable to fly both flags in the parade if the national is smaller than the state flag? Both flags are the correct historical size.

Bill,
I'm not the expert on the flag code but you present something that I believe the flag code does not address and maybe some code experts can correct me if I am wrong. Since you are dealing with historical accurate flags with less than 15% difference in size and you are abiding in the spirit of the flag code I would proceed to march!
