I recently became more interested in the U.S. flag since I saw part of a segment from The Roadshow tv program. It was concerning an auction for several old American flags, and I believe state flags as well. As I recollect the flags sold for something like 11M, to a party from the U.K. as well. Not sure, but, to the best of my memory.
The flag that most interested me was one that I am pretty sure is The
Sons of Liberty flag.
I looked at the history of the U.S. flag. I hadn't known there have been
so many changes and short lived designs. It reminded me of a time I took
an interest of a fourty-eight star flag that I saw at the V.F.W. as a boy.
I'm not a flag collector but am interested in U.S. history.
