Thanking the owners of the site..
Howdy, from Atlanta. I am grateful for the opportunity to post and read comments about our flag. I have always had great respect for our flag, from a toddler on, I have listened to my elders,(now I am an elder at 53,lol) about what our flag meant, on so many levels, from our history,to our showing respect for those who have fallen defending it and what and who it represents. I was so moved from the flag ceremony at my father's funeral when I was 11. He was a Veteran of WWII. Other than my father I have never been close to a military person, but have a heart tug every time I hear of a fallen soldier, hence my login name here ,I mention this because I hope I am not misrepresenting myself with such a handle. I am not someone who has felt the anguish of loosing a loved one to war. I found this site when trying to find the answer to a question concerning our new fallen soldiers receiving a flag for the coffin. So when I registered, that name was on my mind. I hope I will be able to find that the rumor I have heard concerning the families having to fight for the flag their loved one gave his/her life for. I will ask that question in general forum. cheers
