    Hey folks, first post...

Just picked up a 48 star flag that is 5x9.5 in size. Assuming from other posts, it is a burial flag but not sure. There are no more markings on the flag, the material is pretty heavy, the stars stitched on. I have not found any posts regarding the Collegeville Flag & Mfg. Co. Any info would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Welcome to the USA Flag Forum, Rado.

Congratulations. Yes, that is the size of internment flags.

Here is a link to another thread in this forum that also includes a link to a member's photos of a 48-star Collegeveille flag. There's a good chance that the flag is cotton bunting, unless of course there are moth holes, then it would be a wool flag.

Thanks for the reply...much appreciated. The flag is in great shape...no holes and can hardly wait to display it. BTW, I didn't see that link you mention but sure I can find it.

    Thanks

    Hello Brad,
Sorry about the missing link. Here it is:

It doesn't look like a link until you roll your cursor over it.
