I have a picture postcard of a Labor Day parade down Main Street in my town from 1907. There is a large 48-star flag hanging across the street. I know when Oklahoma, Arizona and New Mexico were admitted. The postcard on the back also says 1907. How is this possible? Were the new states and the new flag anticipated?

Can you post a picture or scan of the postcard?

Maybe the company who made the postcard got it wrong?

I will try to post the picture. It's a postcard and the postmark is 09-07-1907. Also it is labeled in front as Labor Day 1907, the message is dated as well.

I am trying. If you go to ebay and search "Staunton Illinois," it comes up as 1 of 3 Labor Day pictures from 1907.
